Upcoming Fall 2017 Events in the San Diego Area
NVC Study Group
Date: August 30, 2017 - weekly until we finish!
Time: 6:55 - 9:00 pm
Location: private home in University City, near Governor & Genesee

Contact: Joe Glennon, (619)884-3705, joeg99@cox.net

Fee: $210 - see "description"

Description: A 14-session seminar/workshop for those who want to learn how to connect more deeply with others, to hear and express honestly. This is an introductory class following Marshall Rosenberg's book, "Nonviolent Communication, A Language of Life" and Lucy Leu's "Nonviolent Communication: the Companion Workbook". Both are required.

Participants will gain a firmly grounded grasp of the basics of Nonviolent Communication. The focus of the workshop will be on creating a community of practice involving the basics and key concepts, so that we develop a greater fluency in "The Language of Life"!

This will be an intense, interactive class. The fun and energy of class meetings will come through engaged participation! There will be homework to do after each meeting (from the above mentioned books), which will in turn be the material for discussion and exercises for the following sessions. In fact, the “homework” will begin before our first meeting, so that we can have a productive session on our first meeting! Students will discuss the ideas covered, and share from homework exercises.
Cost: tuition is $210; if paid by the second meeting, it is discounted 15%, to $185. Alternatively, $20 per class is an option. The textbook and companion workbook are required, and available at Amazon.com and other booksellers, or directly from the Center for Nonviolent Communication site: https://cnvc-bookstore.myshopify.com/collections/general-nvc No serious student will be excluded due to financial hardship, please contact me to discuss. Enrollment will be limited to 15 participants, on a first-come, first-served basis.
